1. Enter an employee's record
2. Click on the Logbook tab
3. Click on the dropdown list on the right hand side
4. Click on 'Add New Screen' at the bottom.

---If you have full admin access and cannot see the ‘Add New Screen’ option, you can discuss this license with your accounts manager via ecb@peoplehr.com---

5. Enter a Name and Description for the screen.
6. Specify Access and Approvers.

As you can see below, you have two options for Employee and Manager Access. When selecting for an employee or manager to 'Update', you will then have the option to specify approvers (Optional). For more on this Logbook Authorisations, please see: http://help.peoplehr.com/logbook/logbook-authorisations

(Based on the example above, this states that employees can 'Update' (create) a logbook within this screen (in their own record), but their manager cannot view this. As an approver is specified, this means that when an employee creates/updates a logbook, this will send an email to the main system Admin for approval).

7. Click 'Continue'.

8. Here you can start adding new fields that the user would complete. Click on 'Add A New Field'  to begin creating your screen.

9. Select the appropriate field type you require first and type in the the name/label of this field and select if you wish for this to be mandatory. For example: 

10. Click 'Add'.

11. Repeat this process until you have all of the required fields available in your screen. You can add up to 20 fields per custom logbook. 

Your logbook will look similar to this:

10. If you are finished, you can click the X. If wish to complete a logbook for an employee once creating it, you can enter the required data to this employees record and click 'Save'.

Text Field

  • Required a small entry 
  • The label for this field has a character limit of 30 (including spaces)
  • There is no character limit on the input 

Text Box

  • Could be a lengthy answer ex. a description box
  • The label for this field has a character limit of 30 (including spaces)
  • There is no character limit on the input 

Date Field

  • Provides a calendar to select date
  • The label for this field has a character limit of 30 (including spaces)
  • The date format must be DD/MM/YYYY

Number Field

  • Provides a number text box
  • The label for this field has a character limit of 30 (including spaces)
  • Number only up to 2 decimal spaces

Dropdown

  • Here you can add multiple options for the candidate to choose from.
  • The label for this field has a character limit of 30 (including spaces)
  • The dropdown options have a character limit of 100 each (including spaces)
