Reports - Staff Turnover
Discover the true level (and cost) of your company's staff turnover rate.

In this report you will find out how many staff members have started, how many have left, and how many have remained constant throughout the year in your company. 

This report will also highlight how much your staff turnover level is costing your company.

We also have a staff turnover tool that provides you with the number of leavers, starters, current employees and average employees between this time frame.

To access this report:

  1. Click into the 'Reports' tab

  2. Click 'Staff Turnover Report'

Change Report - Click this button to exit this specific report to enter another report.
Convert to pdf - Click this and it will download the report as a PDF file.

Selection Criteria:

This is where you can select the values of your staff turnover costs, the data entered will be saved so the next time the report is run it will use the previously entered values. 


The values above are the initial default values which are set by PeopleHR.
 
Calendar Year - Default to current year.

The rest of these options are company specific and can be changed at any time for the report to calculate the correct information

Top segment:

This top graphic will show three calculations which includes:
The starters in the current year.
The leavers in the current year.
The constant in the current year.

Number of starters, leavers and constants are calculated as follows:

Constants = Number of employees that have a start date before the current year and have no leaving date at the report run date.
Leavers =Number of employees that have a leave date in the current year.
Starters = Number of employees that have a start date in the current year.

Percentages are calculated as follows :
Constants = (constants + leavers + starters) * 100
Starters = (constants + leavers + starters) * 100
Leavers = (constants + leavers + starters) * 100

By Job Role segment:

This displays all Job Roles and the statistics for each Job Role which you have specified in your system, this is stored within the employees personal tab.

Within each Job Role the calculations remain consistent as follows:

Constants = Number of employees that have a start date before the current year and have no leaving date at the report run date and have this Job Role specified in their Personal tab.

Leavers = Number of employees that have a leave date in the current year and have this Job Role specified in their Personal tab.

Starters = Number of employees that have a start date in the current year and have this Job Role specified in their Personal tab.

Percentages are calculated as follows:
Constants - (constants + leavers + starters) * 100
Starters - (constants + leavers + starters) * 100
Leavers - (constants + leavers + starters) * 100

By Department segment:

This displays all Department's and the statistics for each Department which you have specified in your system, this is stored within the employees personal tab.

Within each Department the calculations remain consistent as follows:

Constants = Number of employees that have a start date before the current year and have no leaving date at the report run date and have this Department specified in their Personal tab.

Leavers = Number of employees that have a leave date in the current year and have this Department specified in their Personal tab.

Cost Of Staff Turnover segment:

This segment in this report will only be shown to system Administrators. 

The cost of staff turnover will be a generic graphic, each segment will be predefined from an industry standard figure and will be multiplied by the turnover figure, calculating a value for the segment and the total segment.

Each segment is calculated based on the initial values which are selected when opening the report to give you a real time value of your company staff turnover costs in the calendar selected.
