People HR integrates with Flow Hospitality. Flow delivers a continuously evolving learning and development solution tailored to the hospitality and tourism sector, providing accredited, certificated training throughout the industry.

It has a limited API available that allows the transfer of new starter and leaver information from People to Flow. People will produce a file automatically at midnight each day. This will will then be loaded into Flow. 

What data gets transferred?

  1. Employee ID
  2. First Name
  3. Last Name
  4. Work Email
  5. Date of Birth
  6. Location
  7. Final Day of Employment
  8. Flow Job Title

--Setting Up--

1. Firstly, you'll need to ask your Flow customer support team for the following information:

  • Flow Company ID
  • Flow Secret Key

Flow uses non granular job titles. For example you may have many different types of Chefs, however you want to deliver training for all types.

Because in People you will have specific job titles you will need to create a Logbook screen with the generic job title.


3. Create a new Logbook screen and make sure the field is called “Flow Job Title”. This logbook will require one field called “Flow Job Title”. This is the job title that is defined in flow.

If you have quite a few employees, you can use the data loader to load all employee's job titles into this logbook field.


4. Create a new query with has the following fields:

  1. Employee ID
  2. First Name
  3. Last Name
  4. Work Email
  5. Date of Birth
  6. Location
  7. Final Day of Employment
  8. Flow Job Title (from the logbook you've created)

It is important that the query contains all of the above fields, this integration will not work if one is missed. Click here to learn more about queries.


5. Visit https://peoplehrint.com and log in or create an account.

6. Once logged in select the Flow Settings option and enter the information requested and activate the integration.

New starters and leavers will pull through onto Flow every 24 hours.
