We've changed the way you login via SSO on the Desktop for a more easy, and secure login flow.

What is Access Identity?

Access Identity is a login portal which is being introduced to help evolve the PeopleHR login, bringing a more secure authentication and streamline flow, allowing users to access multiple applications with one set of login credentials.

What has changed?

Once we update your site to use Access Identity for SSO, the following changes will apply:

1. This screen is no longer available.

All users will now see a new PeopleHR login screen, which requires them to enter their Email address to proceed.

2. All users will see a new Access Identity screen as part of the login process, every time they login to PeopleHR.

In this article, we are providing step-by-step guideance on how to login via Access Identity and SSO.

Access Identity SSO First Time Login

These steps outline the process that will be followed by a user the very first time they login to PeopleHR, after Access Identity has been enabled on your site.

1. Open the PeopleHR login page using the normal URL. The old SSO sign-in screen is no longer available.

2. Enter your email address.

3. Click Next to proceed.

If you are not already logged in into your SSO provider, then your SSO login will appear.

Please note: The provider will differ per company, but you may see a login screen similar to the below. Please complete the login based on your provider and proceed.

If you are already logged in into your SSO provider, you will be automatically redirected to the Access Identity login page to confirm your email address.

You will then see the following screen explaining that we are migrating you to Access identity:

4. Click Proceed.

5. The Access Identity screen seen above will appear. On this screen you just need to click Next to confirm your email address.

5. Once completed, you will be logged into the PeopleHR Dashboard.

Logging via Access Identity SSO

Once a user has completed the first time login (described above), the steps below describe the process that will be followed by a user for all future logins to PeopleHR via Access Identity SSO.

1. Open the PeopleHR login page using the normal URL.

2. Enter your email address.

3. Click Next to proceed.

The Access Identity screen will appear with your email address pre-populated in the Email field.

4. Click Next.

If you are not already logged in into your SSO provider, then your SSO login will appear.

Please note: the provider will differ per company, but you may see a login screen similar to the below.

Please complete the login based on your provider and proceed.

If you are already logged in into your SSO provider, you will be redirected to the Access Identity login page to confirm your email address.

5. Once completed, you will be logged into the PeopleHR Dashboard.

Please Note: If you are using a shared computer within your business you will need to ensure you are fully logged out of both your SSO account and Access Identity/PeopleHR otherwise this could potentially lead to the next user to use the computer having the opportunity to login on your behalf.

To ensure you are logged out completely you can follow the below steps:

  1. Click on your username in the top right corner

2. After signing out of PeopleHR you will then be presented with the Access Identity screen, this gives the option to then log out of your SSO provider as seen below:

Doing these 2 actions will log you out of both PeopleHR and your SSO provider completely.

FAQ's

Is optional SSO available? - There is no longer an option for "Optional SSO", if your company has registered your domain via Access Identity then you will be forced to use "SSO" for logging into the system, if your company has not registered your email domain then you will follow the email/password process and be asked to create a new password to login to Access Identity.

For PeopleHR mobile app users there is no change to how you login to the app. Click here to see the current mobile app login flow.
