With the use of two specific queries, this tool can add up the total number of hours an employee has worked, and puts this information into a format that you can easily upload into Access Payroll.

Query 1

1. The first query you need to build will require the following selected areas:

2. Click 'Next' in the bottom right hand corner. 

3. This query does not require any filters, so you can simply click 'Next' again to skip this area. 

4. Name your query - It is important that this query is named as the following: 

Payrol: Assignments

Query 2

  1. The next query is for timesheet information. The below shows which areas need to be selected for this query:

Please note: There are more Time In and Time Out options available, if your employees clock in and out more than three times a day (Breakfast Breaks, Lunch Breaks etc.), feel free to select more options.  

2. Click 'Next' in the bottom right hand corner. 

3. This query does not require any filters, so you can simply click 'Next' again to skip this area. 

4. Name your query - It is important that this query is named as the following: 

Payrol: Timesheets

To use this tool:

Create and copy an API key that includes the options 'Employee' and 'Queries' - You are able to specifically select the two queries created for this tool. On how to create an API key, please see: http://help.peoplehr.com/integrations/creating-an-api-key 

2. Once you have created the API key, click on the 'Plugins' tab:

4. Select the tab 'New Requests'

5. Select 'Access Payroll Extract'

You will be presented with this screen:

6. Paste the API key into the field provided

7. Enter the Payroll Start and End date - these dates will specify which Assignment/Timesheet information will be pulled from the query, based on the Assignment/Timesheet date. 

9. Click the 'Submit' button.
